PEASE HELP! Sony walkman question!! second time posted!!?

I was wondering how does the Cradle/Docking station works.. it comes with the Sony Walkman 2GB Mp3 Video player.

Ok, first let me say that mp3 players are not iguanas/lizards/reptiles.

It does it the same way any other mp3 player does. USB ports. when connected to their proprietary cable, it is still nothing more than a glorified usb connection. this means that there are 4 main cables doing the work. 2 of them are providing for an anode and a cathode that run 5 volts through the connected device. This means that 2 wires are acting as the power source/battery charger. With the cradle, thanks to the ac adapter function, you can up this to 10 volts, allowing the player to charge in half the time.

Then there are 2 wires I still have not explained. These are the I/O (In/out) wires. One functions for the player to send siginals to the computer, and one acts as a way for the computer to send siginals to the player. In this manner, you can transfer things to the player (I.e. songs) and you can transfer things from the player to the computers media librairy (again, an example is songs).

So thats how it works. Oh, and because its by sony, it will probably abduct you in your sleep. Oh wait, no, just your wallet. My bad. (sorry, had to throw that one in there, but they are good for audio devices)
